Filmmaker Takeshi Kitano unveiled his design Wednesday for a novelty plate to go on sale for the Christmas season in Tokyo’s Ginza district.
Kitano did not seem too confident about the quality of his creation.
I accepted the offer to draw one without hesitation, but later I found out that plenty of more qualified artists who represent Japan have been involved in the annual event, he said. But I can dodge any complaints by saying, ‘Sorry, I’m a comedian,’ Kitano said. (Japan Times)
