New World International School is a successful and thriving Preschool/Kindergarten located in Sengawa, Chofu (approximately 20 minutes from Shinjuku on the Keio line). We are seeking an experienced preschool teacher to join our team in a full-time position starting this summer. We are looking for applicants who genuinely enjoy working with young children, are hard working and work well in a team environment. Some of your responsibilities will include: lesson preparation, playing and singing with students, eating lunch with students, toilet duties and classroom maintenance. Our curriculum is theme based and centered around play and crafts. Our kindergarten students also learn phonics, reading/writing and math. You will also be responsible for planning and teaching weekly English conversation classes to children aged 3-10.

The position is Monday to Friday approximately 9am-5pm (~40 hours/week) plus extra working hours for special events 2-3 Saturdays a year (Christmas Show, Sports Day, Family Day). We provide 5 weeks vacation a year in summer, winter and spring. Salary will depend upon experience and educational level. We would like someone who is able to start from August 2010.
