We are searching for an experienced and passionate graphic designer to
fit into our small design group. The successful candidate will be able
to work unsupervised and be responsible for working within tight deadlines.
The successful candidate will be working in a Macintosh environment
mainly with Adobe Creative Suite software. Will primarily work on corporate websites, corporate presentations and print media.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working within a framework
of established style guidelines, however will also be capable of taking
the creative lead where the opportunity arises.
The successful candidate will have a “can-do” attitude, be able to work
within a team, take initiative, and have the flexibility to occasionally
shift focus to meet a tight deadline.
Mandatory Qualifications
* Degree (or above) in Graphic Design
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a graphic designer in both web and print
* Experience in Information Architecture, usability and interface creation
* Experience in creative and conceptual communication
* Ability to analyze, plan and create visual solutions
* Organized and able to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines
* Ability to work as a team and individually
* Extensive experience in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, Fireworks and Indesign
(including experience in style sheet usage, long document layout and working with various templates)
* Comprehensive understanding of typography (including Japanese type settings)
* Must currently reside in Japan
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience in Dreamweaver, Flash, video-editing, PowerPoint
* Experience in HTML and CSS following W3C standards
* Knowledge of motion graphics
