Part-time Early Childhood Teacher

At Gymboree your world will be filled with laughter, music, and the personal reward of knowing that you are helping a parent and child build a happy and healthy world together.

Our teachers lead dynamic adult/child interactive play, music and art classes that build children’s cognitive, social and physical skills. Designed by child development experts, each of our class levels focus on and support the specific developmental milestones children are working on at their age.

We offer a challenging and fulfilling work environment. Employees split their time between teaching and administrative/customer service work. Employees start at part time (3-4 days a week) and add hours, based on merit. Multiple opportunities are available to employees that are successful in their positions and seek more responsibility and challenge.

Background of our ideal candidate includes someone who:

- has experience singing and performing in front of a large group
- has a playful and energetic personality and teaching style
- and is comfortable interacting with Japanese and Non-Japanese adults & children

There is flexibility in the assigning of work schedules for those with other existing commitments.
However, consistency in working assigned work shifts is essential.

We provide excellent paid training, support, and motivation to help you grow and succeed. Employees are thoroughly trained in the Gymboree Method of Teaching, operation of our facilities, and child development. This training requires a commitment to learn and grow, and is a long term proposition. The length of the training period varies by individual and may last up to 3 months.

We are hiring for our Motoazabu, Minato-ku Tokyo location (8 minute walk from Hibiya Line, Hiroo Station). Our current available work shift will require working 5-8 hours a day - 3 days a week, including Mondays and Saturdays. All teachers will also be expected to work some Sundays for birthday parties and/or events.
