Full-time native English instructors (ALT + company classes)


Teaching both junior high/elementary schools and company classes in and around the Tokyo area.

Period: one year starting from October (renewable)
Days of work: Monday through Friday
Days off: Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, April 29th to May 5th, 2 days in August (fixed), and December 23rd to January 4th
Renumeration: 3,500 yen - 4,000 yen/hour (minimum income of 3,000,000 yen/year is guaranteed) + 100,000 yen completion bonus

English Teacher starts in February 2011


POLKU INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL is seeking new teachers from candidates interested in working as a Preschool/Kindergarten Teacher in Matsudo Chiba starting in April 2011. Two months orientation and training will be started in February 2011

The post is full-time. Successful applicants will be teaching at a combination of Preschool and Kindergarten. Employment is on a one-year contract basis, with the possibility of renewal upon agreement by both parties.

POLKU offers an orientation together with ongoing training at regular intervals throughout the year. POLKU has an extensive support with local English-speaking Japanese staff and experienced teachers ready to work in a team.

Applicant must hold a valid work visa for Japan and be a native speaker of English. Previous teaching experience is highly desirable but not necessary. Applicants must possess a degree from a recognised university (or equivalent). An education degree is highly desirable, but once again not necessary.

SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary in accordance with POLKU regulations. Commuting allowance.

English Teacher - Kasai


We are an English teaching Pre-school in Kasai. We are looking for a native teacher that is nice and kind and also really likes children.
Our Program includes singing, dancing, art and craft. The salary will be 1,800〜2,500yen/hour as a part-time teaching job.
We prefer a teacher that will be able to work with us for a long period of time.
Our school is located in Kasai Edogawa-ku which is a 15 minute walk from Tokyo Metro Tozai line, Kasai station.

Job description
 Work in the team-teaching settings with Japanese teacher to assist English teaching
 Discuss assigned duties with classroom teachers in order to coordinate instructional efforts.
 Attend teacher training/meeting to improve teaching skills
 Present subject matter to students under the direction and guidance of teachers, using lectures, discussions, or supervised role-playing methods
 planning, preparing and delivering lessons to assigned classroom
 preparing and setting tests, examination papers, and exercises
 marking and providing appropriate feedback on oral and written work
 devising, writing and producing new materials, including audio and visual resources
 getting involved in social and cultural activities such as sports activities, schools parties, English speech contests, excursions events appropriately
 basic administration such as keeping student files and attendance records
Qualifications
 Speaks English as first language or have native English level
 Must have four-year college or university degree
 Must have one of the teaching certificate such as TESL, TEFL, CELTA, TESOL or obtain Education degree from English speaking country
 Must have great interpersonal skill
 Must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well to children, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities

Work places: Elementary Schools in Hiroshima City

Compensation: JPY2,500 per hour plus transportation expenses

ALT (Assisstant Language Teacher)


Full time ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) required for a private language school in Shimizu-cho, Shizuoka prefecture, Japan. Will be teaching at Elementary Schools Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
