ALT Position in Shikoku-Chuo

Full-Time ALT Positions in Okayama Prefecture

We are looking for candidates who can commit until March 2011. We offer a competitive remuneration package, including a monthly performance bonus to the successful applicant.

The successful applicant should live in or be willing to relocate to Okayama Prefecture, possess a valid work visa and have at least a BA/BS from an accredited university. A valid driver’s license (International or Japanese) is required for many of the positions.

Candidates must love to work with children and strive to create a fun classroom with the Japanese teaching staff. Candidates must also be motivated and can work without close supervision. Applicants should be native speakers of English, have a university degree, be willing to commit to at least a one year contract, enjoy working with children, have an interest in Japanese language & culture and be a team player.

Applicants would also be highly regarded if they hold education qualifications and / or have previous teaching experience in their home country and / or have conversational level Japanese skills.

Joytalk has been recruiting foreign staff for more than 25 years. We pride ourselves on providing quality and personal assistance to our foreign language staff. We provide visa sponsorship, paid holidays, discounted car rental, rental accommodation for our teachers if necessary and provide 24 hour support or assistance in other areas where needed. We also provide on-going teacher training with workshops held a number of times throughout the year, including prior to the start of the assignment and reimbursement for work transportation costs.

ALT 2010 - Ogaki, Gifu


We are currently accepting applications for Assistant Language Teacher positions at elementary and junior high schools in the Ogaki area of Gifu Prefecture. Applicants should be native-level speakers of English, possess a university BA/BS (or equivalent), hold a valid work visa for Japan and be able to attend an interview in the Nagoya area.
